FAQ - Clinic Owners

  • Offering telemedicine increases the range of services available to your clients, whether at home or away (within your jurisdiction), while simultaneously decreasing the in-clinic strain put on your busy staff. This lets your employees focus their efforts on your sickest patients or those that truly need to be seen in person, while still offering care virtually to those patients that can be safely managed at home. Using Vetibility to offer telemedicine helps you minimize the opportunity for lost revenue and maximize your clinic’s earning potential.

  • The Vetibility Clinic Network (VCN) is made up of the companion animal veterinary clinics that have signed up with Vetibility Inc. to use our mobile application, Vetibility, to provide veterinary telemedicine services to their existing clients. Clinics within the VCN may also have the option of providing telemedicine to non-clients, should they choose, depending on their jurisdiction and whether a Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) can be established virtually. For veterinary clinics that are a part of the VCN and their employees operating under the VCN, our application acts as a third-party platform to provide secure and professional telemedicine services on behalf of their own facility.

  • As part of the Vetibility Clinic Network (VCN), veterinarians at your clinic will be able to sign up on the application using your unique clinic code. This code associates your veterinarians with your clinic and allows them to use their own mobile device or computer, or a communal clinic one. While practicing telemedicine on behalf of your clinic and under your unique clinic code, the payments for all appointments seen by your veterinarians will be deposited into your clinic Stripe account as soon as the associated medical record is complete and automatically transferred to your clinic bank account daily.

Appointments requested by your existing clients will be listed in the Triage Queue and ordered by time in the queue. There are no scheduled appointments within the app. The nature of on-demand appointments provide maximum flexibility, allowing you to offer telemedicine services in place of traditional on-call, regularly offer telemedicine at set times on a first come first served or triage basis, have your veterinarians pick-up requested appointments during any downtime between regular, in-person appointments, or use your regular veterinary software to schedule virtual appointments on the Vetibility app. Your veterinarians can even select to be notified via push notification when your clinic receives a new appointment request. Should you choose to have your veterinarians also see appointment requests from non-clients, the Triage Queue will instead be ordered by client proximity to your clinic.

  • By joining the Vetibility Clinic Network (VCN), you can provide your clients with an easy-to-use secure and professional video consultation platform to readily access high-quality telemedicine anywhere, with their own trusted veterinarian. We can help you minimize the opportunity for lost revenue and maximize your clinic’s earning potential.

The shortage of veterinary professionals is at an all-time high, placing an ever-increasing stress on most veterinary clinics. By providing a platform for reliable and secure virtual companion animal care, where your clients can have consultations with their own veterinarian, we hope to decrease this burden for you while allowing you to still service your clients yourself and avoid lost revenue. We strive to uphold the integrity of the profession while bringing it into the modern era and making veterinary medicine accessible for everyone at any time.

Our integrated toggle based SOAPs with pre-populated, editable text let your veterinarians complete each medical record in minutes, increasing the number of appointments they can see and thereby improving your revenue potential, while also improving their own work-life balance by preventing the need to stay late to complete medical records. These records will automatically be emailed to your clinic upon completion and can be easily attached to your existing patient files, regardless of which clinic software you use, allowing you to maintain complete and comprehensive medical records for all your appointments, whether seen in person or virtually.

Should you choose to receive appointment requests from non-clients, our platform can increase your revenue potential even further by introducing you to additional patients, who may even be located in your area. Furthermore, using our platform for your telemedicine needs also ensures you always receive payment for your time and virtual services.

As a company co-founded and headed up by a companion animal veterinarian, who was closely involved in every stage of the mobile application development phase, and a finance professional with over 10 years of experience, an MBA, and a background in engineering, you can be confident that we understand all aspects of your business and have considered every last detail in the development of our platform and the service we provide.

  • No! The Vetibility Clinic Network (VCN) was designed to allow clinic owners to increase the range of services offered to their clients in a flexible, non-stressful manner. With on-demand appointments, your veterinarians can hop on the mobile application at any time using your unique clinic code and see as many or as few appointments as their schedule allows. On-demand appointments offer maximum flexibility, allowing you to provide telemedicine services in place of traditional on-call, regularly offer telemedicine at set times on a first come first served or triage basis, have your veterinarians pick-up requested appointments during any downtime between regular, in-person appointments, or use your regular veterinary software to schedule virtual appointments on the Vetibility app.

Appointments requested by your existing clients will be ordered by time in the Triage Queue, but your veterinarians may prioritize appointment(s) using their own professional judgement. Alternatively, if you have adjusted your settings to see a mix of existing and new clients, the Triage Queue will be ordered by proximity to your clinic. Your veterinarians can even turn on Appointment Notifications within the Settings page of the application to receive push notifications when there are appointments waiting in the Triage Queue.

  • Yes! While our appointment fee structure is based off of regional Suggested Fee Guides, as a part of the Vetibility Clinic Network (VCN), you are welcome to set the appointment fees for your existing clients at our price or higher, if desired, to match your clinic fee structure.

  • Yes, though the ability to establish a Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) virtually varies by jurisdiction. Should your jurisdiction not permit the virtual establishment of a VCPR, you will still be able to see your existing clients, with whom you already have a valid VCPR, on our platform.

  • No! You are able to see any requested appointment that is within the jurisdiction of your clinic. The application will order the appointments in the Triage Queue by radius from you (if you have chosen to see existing clients only, the appointments will instead be ordered by time in the queue). With each appointment, the application will also automatically list the 24-hour Emergency Clinic that is closest to the client, should additional or follow-up in-person care be required and you are unable to provide. This information will be provided to you as well as the client.

  • The ability to legally prescribe medications via telemedicine alone can vary by jurisdiction. If a valid Veterinarian-Client-Patient Relationship (VCPR) is established, you may be able to prescribe non-controlled substances but it is up to you to ensure you are practicing within the jurisdictional Professional Practice Standards set by your own regulatory body and using your own professional judgement. If your jurisdiction allows prescribing via telemedicine and you’ve deemed this to be appropriate for your patient, you can call the prescription into the client’s local pharmacy. All you need from the client is the name of their pharmacy and the application will generate the pharmacy phone number. We have also provided a human pharmaceutical reference on our Resources page within the application for your convenience to check whether a suitable human formulation is available for your patient.

  • Yes. As per jurisdictional regulations, a medical record must always be completed when practicing veterinary medicine, including via telemedicine. Our efficient toggle-based template with pre-populated standardized, editable text allows for record completion within minutes. Once finalized, the medical record will be emailed to your clinic as well as your client. If you are providing telemedicine services to a non-client, their primary veterinary clinic will also receive a copy of the medical record (if their email has been provided by the client). Each of your veterinarians will also be able to directly access the medical records from their past appointments on the dashboard.

  • Yes! Vetibility was designed to help modernize and facilitate widespread access to veterinary care in an easy to use and efficient manner. As such, our application based services are accessible through Android and Apple mobile devices as well as laptop and desktop computers. Your veterinarians can see virtual appointments on behalf of your clinic on their own personal device or log in to their Vet Profile on a communal clinic computer or mobile device.

  • Yes! Should you not be available for a telemedicine consultation, your clients can request an appointment with one of our Vetibility veterinarians (provided you are located in a jurisdiction in which we offer our services directly). The application will also automatically indicate the 24-hour Emergency Clinic closest to your client’s current location should any in-person follow-up care be necessary.

As a part of the Vetibility Clinic Network (VCN), when an existing patient of yours sees a Vetibility veterinarian, the completed medical record will always be emailed to you following the appointment, provided the client has indicated you as their primary veterinarian. The record can then be attached to their patient file at your clinic, the same way it would be if one of your own veterinarians saw the patient on our platform, such that you can seamlessly continue their care. We strive to act as a complement to regular in-person care and never to replace the requirement of a primary veterinarian nor the importance of their physical exam. As an added bonus of being a part of the VCN, the medical record is in the same familiar format as with your own telemedicine consultations on our application.

Please contact us for more information on the requirements within your jurisdiction and whether Vetibility can provide veterinary telemedicine to your patients when you are unavailable.

  • While logged in to the Vetibility Clinic Network (VCN), your veterinarians will be practicing under your clinic and not under Vetibility. All veterinarians offering services on behalf of a clinic in the VCN are considered employees of that clinic.
